Google Cash Detective: Day 2
March 11th 2009 04:51 pm
Ok, so now a day has passed and they should have had time to get the kinks out.
Aha, now I can get to the login page! Great!
Well, not so great. When I create a username and password, I get a message that all accounts must be verified. Stand by for an email when my account is set up.
Later….(4 pm)
It’s been about 2 hours and I have not gotten an email. Decided to go to the login page again and see if my account is active and they just didn’t send me an email.
I saw this:
"Scheduled maintenance, please check back in 2 to 3 hours."
Clock’s ticking, fellas.
9:18 pm, still ‘scheduled maintenance’ on the login page, but now they added ‘please check out our training videos while you wait.’
The Contact Us link now works, but it makes me a little nervous that it isn’t a true contact form. It’s a blog comment form. The page says ‘comments are closed.’
I filled it out anyway asking why my credit card was charged 547 when it should have been 499.25. When I hit Submit, I saw this:
Thank you for your comments.
Comments are closed.
So did they get my comments or not?
I’m also a little worried about the 30-day guarantee. In the video, Chris said to ‘just send me an email’ if you want your money back, but didn’t give an email. So on day 29, how exactly do I get in touch to request a refund (if it comes to that)?
It’s clear to me the spent a lot of effort on they hype and the prelaunch sale, but the site really wasn’t ready to go live.
Also there’s still no email saying my account is ready.
10:38 pm It’s up! Yippee! (Still no email though).
